Often viewed set apart, the north of England is proudly and discernibly different. So far so usual. What is New however is the cultural ecosystem that has been growing steadily prior to 2020 and accelerated in the last months into a self sustaining ecology of creativity and supporting industry. With craftsmanship at its core, contemporary makers are brought together consciously or otherwise by the support of their client base in the surrounding vales and increasingly wider afield.
New Yorkshire is a story of a region with is own creative thread and a community in support of its makers, it is also a story with International horizons.
